serving paper oversea
Hi,
Can I serve my husband with divorce paper who is oversea,if so ,How?Is there a law saying that divorce is granted automatically if separated for a certain amount of time?We have been separated for 2 1/2 years now...

yes there are many ways to obtain service, even overseas. You didnt mention if your husband was a US citizen or citizen of another country. If you know where he is, you can try service by certified mail or ask the court for substitute service by either serving someone he lives with or his parents or family here in the US if he keeps in contact with them. Finally, there is always private service if you can find him overseas. Good luck
