Until the child turns 18 or is emancipated, you have to hire a lawyer and go back to court IF her mom won't agree.
I get this question fairly frequently. Most of the time, the best advise that I can give is to consider whether it is worth an expensive court fight to get primary possession for less than one year. That being said, I have yet to have a case where a judge told a 17 year old where he or she had to live. I am wondering though why the conservatorship is "sole" rather than "joint." Was there a reason that she got sole conservatorship that might affect a court today?
