My seventeen year old son is having a baby and wants a paternity test what rights does he have to get specimen from newborn to do test

He needs to file a Petition to Establish Paternity and/or Suit Affecting Parent-Child Relationship. The court will order the test, before addressing issues of parental rights, duties, possession and access. If the child's mom will agree, it can be done at any certified lab in the area. Good luck.
