Severance pay shared with ex?

Please tell me that my severance pay recieved when I'm let go eff. Jan 1, 2000 from a long-time job can't be attached by my former spouse (divorced 10 years, child support still up an running)?

Depending upon how your divorce decree was written, you may be protected. Have an attorney review your paperwork to explain if the legalese protects your interests.
