Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

I have a shared custody agreement with my ex, of our 3 children. We both agreed not to ask for child support, but now the kids are living with me full time, and he is not helping financially. Do I have to file for custody first, or is there a way to file for child support without changing our custody agreement?

You'll have to tell us what "shared custody" is. This term isn't found in the Family Code.

Are you joint managing conservators? Who has the right to determine the children's residence?

If there was no child support ordered, and now you want child support, you'll need to file a motion for modification of the order.
