Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

My ex nor I signed the final divorce decree, so we're we divorced? He passed in 2010. I live in Texas and the final hearing was 3 27, 1997, the judge signed it 6.7.1997. I saw,an attorney in Dallas in January of 2000 and he said I was a victim of a conspiracy. Was I divorced?

If the judge said you were divorced from the bench, then you were divorced. You and your husband did not have to sign it. Once the judge signs it, it is a done deal.
