signing under duress qualifications

A few days after retuning home from a very successful 5 wk. rehab, my ex showed up with custody papers. I have always had primary but let him have evey other week b/ great father, just crappy with the ladies. I was dying to of course see kids. He said If I did not sign this, I would never see kids again. Stupidly, I signed. Is there not a ''duration factor'' that applies sometimes? If so, what are the gualifying factors?

What exactly did you sign?

If you just signed an informal agreement between the two of you that you were allowing him to extend his visitation while you get better, you have not waived your parental rights.

If you signed something that he is going to take to court and use to try to amend your custody order, you need to file an answer with the court so that he doesn't get some kind of default order.

Take all of the paperwork you have to an attorney for a consultation about the matter.
