Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

I am single & have an 8 month old baby. The Bio father wants visitation. I don't have an issue with that but he has not paid one dime to date. I went online & filled out an application for Child support through the DA's office twice now in a month. (they sugg. I do it again since they could not locate the 1st one) Does anyone know if I did the right thing? How long it should take for a response? If there is anything else I can do?

You need to hire a family law attorney to file a Suit Affecting the Parent Child Relationship. This will result in a court order assessing child support and visitation.
