Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

My sister wants custody of her baby boy, which is 5 months. She isnt married to the father of the baby. Both of them are unemployed. How will she have to go about this especially without any money?

She already has "custody" of the child. The father is, legally, a stranger to the child. You and I and everybody else may know that he's the father, but because (a) he's never been married to the mother and (b) there's no court order stating that he's the father, he has no rights in the child.
