Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

My sister and I have a sex offender for our father.

My 7 yr old sister has been in my home since 7/22/07. Our dad is in jail w/ a no bond for agg. sexual assault awaiting trial, he is also on deferred adjudacation for child sex assault charges. I'm trying to get temporary custody and her bio mom is deceased. My dad is fighting me and has an alcoholic wife that CPS would not let my lil sister stay with. Do you think I have a good chance at winning custody?

Sounds like it to me. Get some help if you're not already. Check with the Juvenile courts in your area or maybe the DA's office to see if any lawyers will help you on a pro bono (free) basis. Good Luck.
