need to know
my sister has a son that 25 and has downsyndrom, and if she was to go out one night and lift him home alone for about 4 hours while he was asleep, is this against the law? He is on medication that makes him sleep on night.

The answer is -- it depends.
Texas does NOT have a minimum age to leave children at home.
Instead the law uses "is to reasonable to leave the child at home alone" standard.
If you are concerned, then you need to contact Adult Protective Services in the county the man lives in.
