Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
This is my situation... I am ordered to pay almost around $450 a month for child support. I can not afford that much, but I do make an effort to pay something each month. My back child support is around $38000. So my question is, since i am making an effort to pay on my child support every month can the state of Texas still arrest me because of my back child support?
I live in Alaska but my order is in Texas (that is where my kids reside)

You realize that this debt will never go away.
What does that mean?
If you have a bank account, it will eventually get "hit".
Any tax refund will go to her.
If you ever inherit any money, the Attorney General will intervene and get it.
If you die, the Attorney General will intervene and get anything you own.
When you retire, your social security will be reduced.
You might want to go back and ask to reduce your child support if you cannot pay the $450.
Will you ever be arrested? The answer is yes. So don't ever get stopped in case there is a arrest warrant issued for you.
