Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Slander

My brothers recently exwife keeps yelling he is a cconvicted felon. Over twenty years ago he was in trouble and was charged with a felony but it was deferred and he met all the conditions. She was suppose to give him back a 357 MAGNUM ordered by the judge in his divorce , be for she handed over the gun she called the police and told them he was a convicted felon. Long story short the police took the gun. He did get the gun back. That is just one of several times. Can anything be done.

Re: Slander

I can see where she is making his life difficult, but it isn't slander, since truth is an absolute defense, and he is a convicted felon.

If there are more serious allegations that would support a charge of harrassment, he may want to consider an injunction.
