Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Once a social study has been done and they say custody is should be 50/50 can a judge make the parties take it if one party doesn't want it. Plus can a pending charge for family violence e make one party lose custody if there has never been any other charges.

The court gets to make that decision, not the person who performed the social study. The social study is evidence that the judge will consider. The pending charge, by itself, would not automatically affect custody, although it would if it becomes a conviction. The FACTS behind's decision.the charge, however, could be very important to the judge's decision.
