Getting Sole Custody From Father

My ex-husband and I got divorced in 2002 in Austin, TX (Travis County) and have joint custody. in 2005 he was arrested and extridited to Virginia where he was convicted of a felony. He has served his sentence and may be returning to Texas in April, and I wanted to know how the quickest way for me to get sole custody of my daughter so that he does not have the right to see her (my daughter is 12 years old and does not want to see her father).

I certainly understand your concern, however, there is no guarantee that you can accomplish your goal. It will depend heavily on the charges. If you are serious about this, hire a lawyer.
