Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

My son absolutely does not want to see his father on his designated weekends. He crys and screams and just plain out refuses to go. I am scared this is going to end up causing emotional and metal problems in the future. What can I do so that he does not have to go see his dad on his weekend or any other time for that matter?

The most important question is: WHY doesn't he want to go? Is the father abusing him? Most judges would say: You control your child when it comes to what he eats. You control your child when it comes to his bedtime. You control your child when it comes to homework. You don't let him eat candy for supper just because he cries and screams about eating vegetables. Part of being a parent is making your child do things (sometimes) that he doesn't want to do.

A court order is not subject to the whims or tantrums of a child.

Ask your son, and ask his father, what the problem is.
