Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
My ex won't let me see my son
We had not been going by the divorce papers since it was final in November 2005 and he has not been paying child support. He was in & out of my son's life so I didn't care that he wasn't helping me with the money. Now that he's remarried, he's been seeing my son more often but still hasn't paid anything, so I told him I wanted him to start paying. I had said I wasn't going to go after the back owed child support, but I just want him to start paying from now on. She told me that was fine, but now they want to do EVERYTHING by the papers. So they called on Sunday, 7/5 and said they were on the way to pick him up for the month, and since I didn't give them a written notice about having my son for 1 weekend, they won't let me see him. He's never been away from me for more than 4 days! I'd like to talk to my son but they won't answer the phone. I know he's doing it on purpose. What can I do to get me son back sooner? He's only 6 years old. Please Help.

To get what you want, you're going to have to hire a lawyer. Whether it's for the child support or visitation, doesn't sound like you can do this by yourself. It's not as easy as the people you talk to make it sound. Good Luck.
