Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

My son has joint custody of his daughter, he has her one month and then the mother has her one month, alternating. My son pays child support. And pays 100% of travil to pick her up and take her back. She lives 6 hours away from my son. The mother has not complied with any of the court orders. And was admitted into a psych hospital because she tried to hurt herself by cutting her arm with a knife and had 26 stitches. She cuts herself alot. She has before been diagnosed with mental disorders such as bipolar and other things. She is supposed to be on medications but she does not take them. My question is, Isn't that enough for my son to get full custody with her having supervised visitation?

I don't have a crystal ball so I can't predict what a judge would do.

I suggest your son talk to an experienced family law attorney in the county the case is based in.

Another option is to file contempt on her if she's not complying with the court's orders.

Good luck!
