my son wants to ask the judge to do away with visitation rules because his mom has anger issues and gets abusive. He is 16, and we were divorced in Texas in May 2010.

File a motion to modify conservatorshiop and a motion for the judge to confer with the child in chambers. As a 16 year old, his voice will have some weight.
