Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
about my son
i want my son and have no way of seeing him because every time i try the father makes it harder and harder for me to see him so i called cps and tried it that way i told them he does drugs and they put him with a family member of his and not with me cause he tried to make a case with me and so i explained it to the cps worker she understood gave me a number to get a hold of legal aid but the number was not working and then i found this web site okay we both have equal rights so my question is if i go and take my son and his dad tries to fight me will me taking him count as a strike against me thank you for your time

Re: about my son
CPS is not in the business of determining child custody. Their job is to protect children. It is the Courts that determine child custody. If you wanted custody of your child you should have gone through the Courts.
Since you've involved CPS and CPS has placed the child with a relative, you're stuck with CPS and what they do. Removing the child from where CPS placed him would not be in your best interest. Look up the number for legal aid up yourself. You really need an attorney.
