Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Please Help

I have a son that will be 16 in April.my mom has adopted him and I have no parental rights,but my son wants to live with me and she refuses to let him.I am a 36 yr.old housewife now with 2 children at home and would love to have my son also.He is willing to take my mom to court and I am willing to pay for an attorney for him.Is this posible and do my son and I have a leg to stand on in court?Your advice would be greatly appreciated.
