Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

My son's biological father is not on his birth certificate, has never seen him, or been in touch with me since the begining of my pregnancy. I recently got married and my husband (which is the only father figure my son has ever had in his life) would like to adopt him. It has come up that I might have to have the biological father's parental rights terminated. Is that true? And if so what do I need to to? And if not what do I need to do? Please HELP!!!!

Thanks,

Confused

If you want a personal consultation, I would be glad to meet with you and discuss your options.

I don't know where you live in Texas. If you live in the Houston area, perhaps I can assist you.

The father's rights will have to be terminated. How difficult that will be depends on the facts.
