Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Help

my sons dad has temp custody and has not been letting me get my son for visitation or even talk to him. He said I have to sign a afidavit before I can get him. His lawyer has not contacted me about this. Can he do this?

I know I need a lawyer but can't afford one and legal aid said they can't help.
