Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Son's decision at 12 to live with me

If my son wants to move from his father's house and move back with me (his mother), how much do Texas (Harris County) judges really listen to what the child wants? He has a good life now and there is no reason to modify, other than he wants to live with me again.

The answer is -- it depends on the child's needs.

The courts look at the best interests of the child. Of course, the term "best interests" is not defined in the State of Texas so it's just to each individual judge.

If you know the court you are assigned to, please let me know.
