My son's ex girlfriend wants to give up all rights to their boy so my son can have full custody. What do we need to do to start the process?

You'd file a petition to establish the parent-child relationship beteen the child and its father AND a petition to terminate Mom's parental rights (you can do this all in one petition). You'd also get Mom to sign an affidavit of relinquishment of her parental rights.
