Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Spousal Maintenance

If my wife chooses not to work to raise our childres then abandons our family for another man. What are my chances of having to still pay her. She thinks I will have to pay for her lawyer and childsupport and maintenance. Does she have that ability when she is the one having the affair and leaving?

Re: Spousal Maintenance

Child support is not connected to her affair. If you want to prove adulter, you could likely prevail on attorneys fees and maintenance. Adultery does not often work to obtain custody for the man. Prejudice still exists for mothers in the courtroom if not in the law. Good Luck.
