Can I get my spouse to assume our past IRS tax debt in the divorce decree to where I am no longer leagally resposible for any of it?

I would call a CPA for clarification. I am not a CPA and I cannot give IRS advice.

I believe that a Texas divorce decree cannot interfere with an IRS debt since a divorce decree is a state form and the IRS debt is a federal debt. So if your spouse does not pay it, the IRS can still come after you.
