Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

My spouse and i would like to have an uncontested divorce. We have no assests to divide and already have a pre exsisting custody/child support order. What forms do I need to fill out and return to the court house?

All divorces begin with a petition and end with a final order. The final order would incorporate and take the place of the pre- existing custody/support order.

It is best that you retain an attorney to assist you with this. If the divorce is uncontested, one of you can waive service of citation and the other can file. It is best that each of you have an attorney to represent your interests.

If money is an issue, you can check local bar associations for legal assistance. If you have no luck with Medina County, I suggest you check with Bexar County. The law library sells packages of divorce materials (which I have not reviewed). Also the bar association has a community justice center which may be able to help you (although I do not know if they handle cases in Medina County) It would not hurt to ask.
