must spouses live apart during divorce in texas?

The Texas divorce petition appears to assume both spouses are living apart. Is this a requirement in texas? Do they actually check the address listed?

No.

The new petitions do not include addresses because of identity theft.

If you've ordered a divorce kit over the internet my comment is "buyer beware". It sounds like you have an old form.
