Spouse's School Loans & Divorce

During marriage, my son took some college courses. He has not completed his degree. He & G are getting a divorce. She does not think she should pay half of his school loans which total to $30k.

Is she responsible for his school loans taken during their marriage? None of the loans occurred before marriage.

Generally, debts occurred during the marriage are the responsibility of both spouses. If they are going to divorce, she would likely be held responsible for 1/2 of the debt.
