Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

My Ex and I have a standard possession order in our divorce decree. Am I misreading the oder, in that, he gets the 1st, 3rd and 5th weekend PLUS 30 days in two 14 day increments? That means, I rarely get a weekend with my daughter during the summer. Can this be correct?

This is, in fact, correct. Your order will give YOU one weekend during his 30-day summer possession if you designate the weekend within the time limit.

Remember this: There is a SPECIFIC date and a SPECIFIC time that he is scheduled to pick up your child for the summer visitation. You can hold him to this. If it's 6:00 pm on July 1, then be home at 6:00 pm on July 1. Wait until 6:20. Then pack up your daughter and head to the mall. You aren't ordered to "surrender the child" just any old time that's convenient for him.
