Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

out of state custody

my 9 month old daughter and i recently moved to VA from TX. her father lives in TX still. he has seen her a handful of times, the last time being when she was around 6 months. we have joint custody however, him getting her for 42 days of summer seems insane being that she has no idea who he is. is there anything i can do about this?

Re: out of state custody

Insane, you say, that your daughter's father should have her in his custody

for 42 days? Apparently, the Texas court which decided this matter didn't think so, but if you continue to disagree, you could petition a Virginia court to reconsider the matter, once you've established residence with the child in the Commonwealth exceeding six months.
