Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

out of state trips

I only have temporary paperwork with my soon to be ex. My family lives out of state and my children are currently visiting them. My ex states that they are only allowed to stay 7 days due to grandparents rights. The paperwork states nothing in that regard, in fact it has no language in it at all regarding out of state trips. What, if anything, can he do legally if I allow them to stay more than 7 days? My son, who is 14, has actually been down there close to 5 weeks, but even when he is here he does not go to his father's house because he does not get along with him. My other 2 children are 11 and 8.

Re: out of state trips

The paperwork that the Judge signs controls.

You need to talk to your attorney about this matter.

If you don't have an attorney, I think you need one to give you correct information.

Good luck!
