Statue of Limits for Legal Separation to File Divorce

What is the Statue of Limitations in the State of TX to get a divorce when you are separated for years. Some states state you can divorce after 20plus years, without consent from spouse, just file. Does this apply to

Texas? If so, number of years and what is process.

You can file for divorce, but you will have to serve your X either in person or by publication if you don't know where he/she is.

The statue of limitation question you asked does not apply in Texas.

You must follow the advice the other attorney answered.

File for divorce and either serve the other party or serve through publication.

Divorce by publication is more expensive and takes longer than a usual divorce if you can't locate your spouse. Most courts appoint an attorney to try to locate your spouse and you have to pay for it.
