My step sons visitation

My husband and I are raising my step-son. He is 13 years old and does not want to go visit is mother during her visitation dates. Does he have to go if he does not want to?

He doesn't have to go as long as you're willing to be held in contempt for failure to follow the visitation ORDER. If there is some good reason why he does not want to go, he and you need to tell the judge and perhaps (s)he will change the order. Visitation is not discretionary; it is required according to the ORDER. Good Luck.
