Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

My stepson(13) sexually assaulted my daughter(9). Can the state force me to pay support to the relative where he now lives?

He is currently on 2 years probation and cannot live in the same house as the victim - my daughter. He was locked up but the state allowed one of my relatives to keep him for the 2 years while he goes through a rehab program. Now the relative is saying that they need support. If they cannot provide for him, shouldn't the state take him back?

The State is Texas.

You do not owe a duty of support to a stepson. Period. No judge will order you to pay support.

I assume that you never adopted the stepson.
