Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Stll not divorced, need to file 2005 taxes

I have been trying to get Divorced for over 1 year. I have temporary orders that the two of us dont follow due to changing living conditions chosen by my wife, since the temporary court day. Our 2 children ages 14-16 Boys were living 50-50% split time with the two of us.3 Months ago my wife choose to move out of her apartment and move in with a girlfriend in order to save money.Since then the boys reside full time with me and I support their every need. We are not close to finalizing anything. I want to file my 2005 taxes, can i file seperatley? can I claim the 2 boys? If I dont do something nothing will ever get done and I will be in an even worse position. Do I have to file Jointly? If so it will never take place on her behalf. What can I do?

Certainly you can file single and take the kids as exemptions. You need to seek support from her for your custody of the kids.
