Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
Sudden fatherhood !!
I was served a citation in a matter of paternity from someone I knew
in 1994. The citation does not have my name correctly on the paper.
I was never contacted by this woman and never knew she was even pregnant. She has been married twice since then and divorced from both men apparently
not claiming paerntage. Reciently I
found out I am not named on the birth record for this 12 year old.
I have been told there is a statute of time limit for thease type of cases, is that true? what rights do I have with no intrest in ths child or woman as I have moved on and have a good life with normality.?

Re: Sudden fatherhood !!
Based on the facts you have presented, there is a possibility that you may be liable for this child. You really need to retain an attorney to assit you. If my law firm can assist you with this or any other legal matter, please contact my office manager Mr. Ed Smith ([email protected]).
Re: Sudden fatherhood !!
You should ask for DNA testing immediately.
Ignore this, and the court will declare you the father by default!
PS - this happens all the time to men!
