I am being sued for back child support in the state of TX and cannot afford an attorney. Do I have the right to a court appointed attorney?

If a pleading has been filed that threatens your liberty (such as a motion for enforcement which asks for jail time) and you are "indigent," yes, you are entitled to a court-appointed attorney.
Not every petition for back child support contains a request for somebody to be incarcerated.
