Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
I am being sued for child support by my ex husband. We have been divorced 10 years & have had a verbal agreement re: support. My question is- his lawyer is requesting my last 2 tax returns & paycheck stubs. I cannot afford a lawyer & want to know will the judge consider my expences as well as income? How do I let the judge know that I want my bills to be considered & how do I know my rights as a parent?

Your bills don't count, and the judge won't take them into consideration.
The judge will probably tell you that your first responsibility is to support your children - not make car payments or credit card payments.
You should plan to give the paycheck stubs and tax returns to the lawyer (the Family Code says you have to).
