Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

I am being sued for child support. I am the mother of the child. I am being sued for child support by my son's grandparents...my son is already 17 years old...To avoid the large amount of backpay, can I request credit for all the earned income credit that the grandparents received for claiming him every year on their taxes?

Have they been receiving any social security money? That would be a credit.
