Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Summer visitation in my order is 4 weeks, my son is only 2 years old

I signed a standard visitation order when my son was 6 months old. He is now 2 years old & has only been seeing his father for 6 months. His father is now wanting to actually follow the order after all this time. I feel like my son is too young, this is too much for him to handle and too long for him to be away from his usual surroundings. The standard order is 4 weeks out of the summer and his father says he will take him to a babysitter of his choice while he works during the day. Help please.

Why would you sign a SPO when the child was under the age of 3?

Anyway, your only option is to file a modification.

Otherwise, you will be in CONTEMPT for NOT following the current court orders.

Yes, he can do exactly what he wants to do unless you modify.

I charge $100 an hour to sit down with you in person and discuss your options.
