Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
Summer Visitation/Father's Day
In our custody orders, it says I am to have our son for 60 days in the summer, to be executed in two 30 day periods. It says my ex has right to custody of our son One weekend out of each of my 30 day periods. I have to make those two 30 day periods to start and end on specific dates, and it says not to interfere with Father's day weekend. The school district's summer is too short to situate my two 30 day periods around Father's day. Therefore, does this mean my ex is allowed to have our son for TWO weekends during one of my 30 day periods because it is Father's day?

Re: Summer Visitation/Father's Day
Haven't seen the actual verbage of your decree, but in all probability, yes. The Dad normally gets Father's Day, no matter what, just like the Mom get Mother's Day, no matter what. Why don't you ask the attorney who represented you in your divorce?
