Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Support

I have joint custody of my child and my child wanted to go live with her mother. Will I have to pay child support if we have legal documents stating joint custody?

Re: Support

If you file a motion and agreed order of modification that both parties share joint custody, and agree that no support is appropriate, then the judge will probably approve it.

If she lives with her mom, and you cannot agree on this issue, it is likely that the judge will order you to pay support.
