Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
My ex and I are supposed to pay 50/50 for "reasonable and necessary health care expenses not paid by insurance". She is always trying to find ways to get more money from me. Now she is sending me a receipt from pharmacy showing a $50 dollar prescription for a vitamin & mineral supplement for the skin. Do I have to pay half of this since it's a vitamin & mineral supplement for the skin? And since she didn't try a supplement from the shelves first? Not to mention that my daughter doesn't need it because her skin doesn't even really break out unless it's her time of month (mother nature) and even then it's not even really noticeable. I even have up close pictures of her face to prove she doesn't need it. Also the vitamin & mineral supplement came with a rebate offer, but you have to send in the "original" receipt to get the rebate, and since she has the original receipt she is going to be the one to get it and I still have to pay my half of the $50??

Write Mom a letter (paper letter) - keep a copy - lick a 45-cent stamp - STOP USING THE TELEPHONE - tell Mom that you aren't going to pay this because you weren't ordered to pay it. Ask her for written proof that a DOCTOR prescribed this stuff.
