Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

temination of rights

My husband ex doesn't let him see his daughter, only a few times has she shown up for visitation. When we went to court for establishment of paternity she requested that my husband terminate his rights. he was unble to because he owed backpay, now the backpay is paid off and she still insists that he ''sign his rights away''to her boyfriend, who was originally on the birth ceritifcate. since then my husband is in the process of filing papers at her request. My question is when we get to court what happens if she changes her mind on the spot and decides that she doesn't want to go through with it because of the financial gain of the child support? what can we do at that time considering all the proof we have?

Re: temination of rights

Your husband needs to hire an atty to verify that the proceedings are, in fact, what she claims they are. If he prefers to maintain rights to his child, the attorney can enforce the visitation.
