Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

temporary custody

I have a 4 mo. son - not married to Mom. No custody

established, but I signed paternity acknowledgment.

Mother has decided to relinquish rights and her Mom

took the baby out of county without my permission

and left him at their relatives who want to adopt him

They have retained lawyer and I don't have the finances presently to do the same. What can I do?

Re: temporary custody

Your parental rights must be terminated - either voluntarily or involuntarily before the baby can be adopted. If you want to assert your parental rights to obtain custody, get a very good paying job and hire a lawyer. The adoptive parents will have a lawyer and if you don't, the outcome should be predictable.
