Temporary Orders

How long are Temporary Orders in effect for? Are they still in good after two years?

Re: Temporary Orders

Read the Temporary Orders carefully, because the order itself may state when it expires. However, in most cases, the temporary orders are good as long as the suit is pending or until they are replaced by new orders. The final order or Final Decree of Divorce will supercede the temporary orders.

Re: Temporary Orders

Temporary Orders in a divorce are good indefinately. They are in effect as long as the case is pending.

If the case is dismissed, then the temporary orders end.

If the case is finalized and a Final Decree of Divorce is signed by the Judge, then the Final Decree normally includes language saying that the temporary orders remain in effect or they are discharged.

I strongly advise you to talk to an attorney before you do something "forbidden" by the temporary orders.
