Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
How to terminate the parent child relationship.
I know someone in Glendale, Az. He lives with his mom, but she treats him bad. He has to sleep on the couch yells at him all day and when they lived in ElPaso, Tx she kicked him out of the house so he lived with his grandma. She bought him food, but him and his aunt argued over silly things like where to put the dishes and his grandma took his aunts side and kicked him out of the house. So his mom took him back and then moved to Glendal,Az. I don't know if this sounds like just some kids arguing and being disobedient, but she's not willing to go to family counseling and my family is willing to take care of him like a foster home. He's going to be 17 in Sept. and I don't really want to adopt him (You're gonna laugh) because he's my boyfriend. I just don't want him to be miserable anymore. Please, I'm desprate, help us.

Re: How to terminate the parent child relationship.
I recommend that he check with the AZ bar association for a list of lawyers who practice pro bono [free] law. He may also be eligible for the services of the legal aid society.
He can investigation legal emancipation which would permit him to live on his own at age 17, and there are other [guardian] devices available.
Bottom line, urge him to get legal advice from one of those agencies in his town.
