Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

how to terminate parental rights of mom

My kids are 15,14,and 11.Thier mom took off and left them when they were just 5,4,and a year old.She refuses to pay child support and has not seen nor called them in over 2 years. She only calls or comes to see them when it is convient for you.The boys are never kept from her at all.My current wife of more than eight years wants to adopt them because she sees them as her own and they feel the same about her.our concern is that if something happens to me they will be taken from her because even if my exwife still doesn`t want them my family would take them.We are worried if my wife tries to adopt them my ex will try to take them away.can my kids talk to a judge and tell the judge that want to remain with us.My kids are all for being adopted by my wife.I could really use some legal advice. Also, there have been past medical emergencies and i have no way at all to contact her for medical history or to let her know what is going on.Thanks in advance.

This is probably more than can be address in an email. Sounds like the kids are lucky to have your wife to be their mother. There is no way to prevent your ex from contesting a termination and adoption, but just because she fights it doesn't mean she'll win. Call the office to set up a consultation if you would like to discuss this in detail.
